The famous lettering - designed by Herbert Beyer, lecturer in typography at the Bauhaus in Dessau - adorns the south facade of the building.
With a height of approximately 75 cm each, the letters are visible from far away and are now part of the Bauhaus UNESCO World Heritage Site.
